Event Details

We welcome Local Painter & Sculptor Fred Lisaius to teach this painting workshop which utilizes wood panels, acrylic paint & some unorthodox painting techniques to create portraits of endangered animals. Fred has a roster of photographs of endangered Washington state animals (including the American white pelican, spotted frog, grizzly bear, spotted owl & the caribou.) Fred’s will teach students his technique of painting on wood panels masked with tape. The unique techniques with brush, sponge & tape will teach the students to work in layers & create dynamic paintings expressing their feelings about these threatened species.
