Event Details

A long time ago, probably soon after humans learned to hunt, we began painting. Lad Decker will talk about why she loves one of the world's oldest media, and why she chooses to paint in a world surrounded by digital media and graphic design software. Participants will learn foundational skills for painting, such as how to consider and choose a subject, how to block-out a composition, how to mix colors from a limited color palette, and how to use storytelling as a tool for the creative process. All materials will be provided to create at least two paintings.
