This Workshop is structured to provide students with an overview of what a portfolio is and how portfolios are used both for college applications and in the professional world.  After an introduction on the value of story, personalization of work and portfolio, Volunteer reviewers will pair off with students for one-on-one evaluations. Students are then paired with a professional photographer who helps them photograph a few key pieces of their artwork and explains how to set up lighting and backdrops so students have the knowledge to do future capturing on their own.

Students will also go through a mock interview. The goal of this is to demonstrate presentation and communication skills to the students, giving them a boost in confidence, practice in front of each other and trust in their abilities to speak with someone they don't know.

Finally, students will have the option to create an online portfolio to showcase their work.
