The people have spoken! LINK asked South Park community members what kinds of stories they’d like to see told visually in their neighborhood, and guest artist Natalia Sotelo and mural production organization Color Speaks have taken their responses to collaborate on a bold, beautiful design to brighten up the wall of an important community building.
On May 20th, LINK students, volunteers, and community members will come together to paint the mural with music, food, and lots of brushes.
Family members and friends are welcome! If you bring family or friends, please have them sign up here by May 12th so we’ll know how many people are coming.
Students, RSVP by Wednesday, May 10th at 8pm!
TIMING: LINK students will attend from 10am - 1:30pm, but volunteers and community members will be invited to join a shift between 10am - 3pm to spread out the mural engagement.
SAFETY: Ladders and scaffolding will be part of the mural painting process. There will be some parts of the mural that are possible to paint without ladders, but always make sure to follow all safety guidelines when painting!
