You’re invited to create a short-and-sweet animated story one of the most important design tools: the mighty sticky note!
In this workshop, discover the importance of story in film-making and see how animators breathe life into their work. After an introduction to the artist and project, we’ll work in small and large groups to each create a very short film using stop-motion animation on Post-It note pads. Then, the tiny online animation festival will commence! We’ll watch each other’s short works, offer feedback, and celebrate the cool story we made.
Your guest artist, Jeff Barlow, is a creative director for Boeing, the world’s leading aerospace company. He’s also led experience design teams at Starbucks Global Creative and has his own studio, Jelvetica. For the past 20-plus years, Jeff has been a major force in the Seattle design community, having served as president of AIGA’s Seattle chapter (and recent winner of the AIGA Fellow award), organizer of AIGA’s Into the Woods conference, and a longtime and very beloved, ear-pencil-toting instructor at the School of Visual Concepts.
Please RSVP before 4:00pm on Friday, December 10th to secure your spot!
